Baosteel suspends Corex operations at Luojing works

It's reported that the Chinese steel giant Baosteel has suspended the operations at its Luojing works.

It's known that there are two Corex ironmaking units at Luojing works with the annual production of 3 million tons.

However, the Luojing works has suffered from the losses since the high-quality raw materials are required for Corex ironmaking units.

The works suspended the No.1 ironmaking unit in last July and then it stopped the operation at the No.2 unit on September 10th, 2012.
